Emergency plumber in your area

Hepta deals with plumbing emergencies in your area: burst pipes, major leaks, overflowing or blocked toilets, and loss of hot water or heating. Call 07477 877199, tell us what is happening and we will talk you through isolating the water while we plan how to reach you.

What it covers

A plumbing emergency rarely arrives at a convenient moment. A pipe lets go in the night, a toilet overflows through the ceiling below, or the boiler dies on the coldest evening of the year. What you need first is someone who picks up the phone and tells you what to do right now.

When you call Hepta, the first job is to stop the damage: finding the stopcock, isolating the supply, switching off what needs switching off. Then we plan the repair. We are based on Cox Lane in Epsom and work across the towns around it.

Questions about emergency plumbing

Not here? Call 07477 877199 and ask.

Turn off the water at the stopcock, open the cold taps to drain the system, and switch off the electrics near the water if it is safe. Then call us on 07477 877199 so we can plan the repair. Do not touch electrics standing in water.

No. If you smell gas, leave the property, open doors on the way out and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. Do not use switches or phones inside. Call us afterwards for any plumbing damage.

Usually under the kitchen sink, in a downstairs cupboard, in the hall, or where the supply pipe enters the house. In flats it may be in a shared cupboard. Check now, before you need it, and make sure it turns freely.

Often yes. A split section can be cut out and replaced, or a failed joint remade. If the pipe is badly corroded or has failed in several places, we will explain why a longer replacement makes more sense.

What your policy covers depends on its terms, which we cannot see. Take photographs of the damage, keep any failed parts we remove if possible, and ask us for a plain written description of what happened to support a claim.

We are based in Epsom and cover Epsom, Ewell, Ashtead, Leatherhead, Banstead, Cheam, Sutton and Worcester Park, along with Stoneleigh, Esher, Chessington, Cobham, Surbiton, Kingston upon Thames, New Malden, Carshalton, Wallington, Purley, Coulsdon, Reigate, Redhill, Croydon, Morden and Wimbledon. Each of those has its own page for emergency plumbing, and you can also send us your town through the contact form.

Turn off the water at the stopcock, which is usually under the kitchen sink or near the front door. Switch off the electrics in any wet area if it is safe to do so, and move valuables away from the water.

Your address and nearest cross road, where the water is coming from, whether you have found the stopcock, and whether anyone in the property is vulnerable. A photo helps if you can send one.

Common causes are frozen pipes that split on thawing, old joints and corroded fittings, worn washers and valves, and pressure surges. Ageing pipework in older properties is a frequent factor.

Yes. Use the contact form with your name, phone number, town and a short description of the job. Pick a preferred contact time if you like; it is a preference only. For anything urgent, call 07477 877199.
