Boiler repairs in your area

Hepta repairs boilers in your area: no heating or hot water, loss of pressure, strange noises, leaks, error codes and boilers that keep switching off. Call 07477 877199 or use the form with the make, model and what the boiler is doing, and we will diagnose the fault and explain the fix.

What it covers

When a boiler stops, the whole house feels it. No heating, no hot water, sometimes a puddle underneath or an error code you cannot make sense of. The useful thing is a clear diagnosis, not a guess, followed by a plain explanation of what needs doing.

We repair a wide range of boilers. We find the cause first, tell you whether it is a quick part swap or something bigger, and give you a straight view if the boiler is nearing the point where replacement makes more sense than another repair.

  • Boilers that give no heating or no hot water
  • Pressure loss and topping up problems
  • Noisy boilers, kettling and banging
  • Leaks from the boiler or its connections
  • Error codes and ignition faults
  • Frozen condensate pipes in cold weather

When to call

  • The boiler shows a fault code or has locked out
  • Radiators are cold but the boiler seems to be running
  • The pressure gauge keeps dropping towards zero
  • There is water dripping from the boiler or pipes beneath it

How it goes

  1. Step 1

You tell us the make, model and what the boiler is doing.

  2. Step 2

We diagnose the fault and explain what we find.

  3. Step 3

We repair the fault, or explain honestly if replacement is wiser.

  4. Step 4

We test the boiler and check the heating and hot water are working.

Questions about boiler repairs

Not here? Call 07477 877199 and ask.

A pressure drop usually means water is escaping somewhere: a radiator valve, a joint, the pressure relief valve or a failing expansion vessel. Topping up only hides it. We trace where the water goes and repair the cause.

It could be trapped air, sludge in the system, a stuck valve or a failed pump. Bleeding a radiator solves some cases. If not, we check the pump, valves and circulation to find the real cause.

Kettling is a rumbling or whistling noise, usually from scale or sludge restricting water flow in the heat exchanger. It is not usually dangerous, but it reduces efficiency and can shorten boiler life. A descale or system clean often helps.

We repair a wide range of makes. Give us the make and model when you get in touch and we will say if we can help, or tell you if your boiler needs a specialist manufacturer visit.

When repair costs keep rising, parts are hard to find, or the boiler is clearly at the end of its working life. We will explain the situation honestly so you can decide whether to repair or replace.

We are based in Epsom and cover Epsom, Ewell, Ashtead, Leatherhead, Banstead, Cheam, Sutton and Worcester Park, along with Stoneleigh, Esher, Chessington, Cobham, Surbiton, Kingston upon Thames, New Malden, Carshalton, Wallington, Purley, Coulsdon, Reigate, Redhill, Croydon, Morden and Wimbledon. Each of those has its own page for boiler repairs, and you can also send us your town through the contact form.

Check the pressure gauge, make sure the thermostat and timer are calling for heat, and see whether a reset is offered on the boiler. Note any fault code. Do not keep resetting it repeatedly.

The boiler make and model, any fault code on the display, what it was doing before it stopped and roughly how old it is. A photo of the boiler and its gauge helps.

Low pressure often points to a leak in the heating system, a failed expansion vessel or a faulty pressure relief valve. Scale and a failed pump are other common causes.
